Traveling and Diving are what fulfill the thirst of the nomad
As I have been accepted for a publication in an Australian conference (Asiacrypt 2008), I’ll do a trip to Queensland to dive in the famous great barrier reef.
I have been told about a liveaboard that departs from Cairns and also about the magnetic islands. If you have any tips about some good places please feel free to share them in the comments.
When I went to visit Nice, in the south of France, I didn’t resist to take (and lend 
) some minor equipment to do some snorkeling… Of course I was more taking it as a joke than anything else: I wasn’t expecting to see anything and I was more planning to take funny underwater pictures with my friends.
Well not to say but there are fishes out there! ok it has nothing to do with what you can see in Red Sea 
but I found it funny that even there some underwater life is present.

As I have been told that Sharm-El-Sheikh is being invaded by tourists these past 10 years, I decided to try a more southern destination for my diving holidays: El Quseir.
I have been astonished by the quality of dives there, as only a few infrastructure do exist (only two hotels: Mövenpick Resort El Quseir and Flamenco Beach Resort). To briefly describe this place, I would say that El Quseir is what Sharm-El-Sheik used to be before the tourist invasion…
As for the dives, I managed to go to twelve different sites, plus two night dives and an early morning dive, in only one week! And I still didn’t dive everywhere there. Don’t worry you’ll have plenty to see, and a lot of pictures to take. You can have a peek of what you may see in my Photo Album.

What drove me to create a special blog for it is the new acquisition of a compact camera (canon 860 is) together with it’s waterproof case. Thus I will post some of my pictures here. Beware!
